Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel is caused from compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel of the wrist.  Usually a patient will present with numbness and or pain over the thumb and first finger and possible middle finger.  It usually starts at night and maybe aggravated form sleeping positions.  Having more than 2-3 of these symptoms makes for a poor prognosis. Over age 50, duration longer than 10 months, contant numbness, stenosis flexor tendon and positive Phalens test in under 30 seconds.  In this office we use chiropractic adjustments of the neck and wrist, soft tissue manipulation of the wrist and forearm, therapeutic taping, and stretching.  Our goal is to relieve pain, improve function, and achieve lasting results.
